Review: Derby Sale 2024

The 50th Derby Sale witnessed some fierce tussles in the sales ring, as the best stores from across Ireland and the UK exchanged hands for impressive figures. The sale produced Ireland and the UK’s highest priced horse sold at any store sale this year and equalling the second highest price for a store ever achieved at €350,000, while 25 lots were sold for €100,000 or more. Strong trade was visible across both days, as leading owners, trainers, and agents were all determined to source the talent on offer.
