WAVE OF SUCCESS FOR TATTERSALLS IRELAND’S SEPTEMBER YEARLING SALE GRADUATES
WINNING EXPRESS recorded her second Listed success when winning the Listed Eternal Stakes at Warwick and earned a trip to Glorious Goodwood in doing so. A daughter of Camacho, WINNING EXPRESS was bought by Anthony Ross at the 2011 September Yearling Sale for a mere €5,500 from her breeders, Yeomanstown Stud.
The fillies continued to fly the flag for Tattersalls Ireland as MAKING EYES, a previous winner of the Listed Prix Jacques De Bremond Stakes in France provided trainer Hugo Palmer with his first UK stakes success when winning the Listed Hoppings Stakes at Newcastle. MAKING EYES was sold at the 2009 September Yearling Sale by The Irish National Stud for €17,000 to Kilronan Stud.
Richard Hannon’s PRODUCER justified favouritism when winning the Group 3 Criterion Stakes at Newmarket’s July course. Partnered with red hot Richard Hughes, the son of Dutch Art was sold at the 2010 September Yearling Sale by Mount Eaton Stud for €14,000 to Ross Marshall.
September Yearling Sale’s winning streak continued in Italy with wins from the two year old son of Lucky Story, ARPINATI in the Group 3 Premio Primi Passi and from Team Valor’s BLACK ELEGANCE in the Listed Premio Mantovani, both at Milan.
Both graduates of the 2012 September Yearling Sale, ARPINATI was sold by The Forge Stables for €12,000 to Alduino Botti and BLACK ELEGANCE was sold by Castletown Stud for €4,200 to Bobby O’Ryan.
