Four-Year-Olds

MONKSGRANGE

A race run in a blistering time Bake De La Saulieran a cracker in second and indeed Fionn Mac Cul showed plenty of promise in third.

LOUGHBRICKLAND

Ben The Boyohad run a cracker on his Pigeons debut and although not suited by the heavy conditions here kept on for third and will be a stronger force next time on a nicer surface.

DURROW (SATURDAY)

Wicked Games had looked potentially very useful when a promising third at Lemonfield in a top notch maiden and this performance was an extension of that promise.

DROMAHANE

Nomoreblackjack and Booden Bridgemet something a bit special here on their respective debuts so they are both expected to progress from this outing.

Five-Year-Olds

MONKSGRANGE

Still Together looks tough and came home well in the conditions and is a winter type to win plenty of races going forward.  Robin De Souzahas been second here and placed before so he is a maiden winner in waiting it would appear.

DROMAHANE

Smugglers Stash is a fine big chasing type who has taken his racing well in the last couple of months and deserved this success.  Shredder Island and  Hurricane Benwere both placed here and each showed improvement on their debut efforts.

DURROW (SATURDAY)

Our Rewardhad run well when fifth at Dromahane on his debut and stepped up here in what was notably a very fast time.

Six-Year-Olds

MONKSGRANGE

Alkaa Lion won impressively here on debut and handled the conditions well so looks a class above maiden winning level.  Captain Bizarrofell in front at Kilfeacle and met a cracker here so must rate banker maiden winning material next time.

DURROW

Kid Valentine was a close fourth on debut and won here on only his third start. He is closely related to  Simply Dashing.

DROMAHANE

U Me And Them is out of a dual winning mare and has shown improvement to win here.  All Kings showed improvement from an already promising debut while the more experienced  Double Danhas already shown track form worth noting.

LOUGHBRICKLAND

Little Billbattled hard when very narrowly missing out at Armagh last time but on this occasion he kept on strongly again. Ballyvaughan is a nicely bred sort showing good improvement and will take beating next time.

LOUGHBRICKLAND

Barrack Streetran the warm favourite to a very close half length. He is clearly improving and one to consider.

DURROW (SATURDAY)

Road To Gold had shown form when falling at the last at Rockfield and has been somewhat unlucky but with things going right for him here he showed his class and won comfortably. The novice ridden  S For Estuary is a cracking type for a novice rider in maiden company.  Kerry’s Lordis another who fills a soon to be maiden winner profile.

DURROW

Bertalus held every chance before coming down at Ballyraggett on his previous start and made amends here to win and confirm the opening run.  Bilbo Bagginsalso ran well here before falling at the last.

DURROW

Celtic Thunder showed a great attitude to win here on only his second start at this level while  Blackwood Roverdid well to go so close on his winners’ debut. Both are proven now at winners’ level and have plenty more to offer.

Older Horses

DURROW (SATURDAY)

Mias Milanmet an above average sort for this type of race here but that ensures he retains maiden status which is something not likely to last for long.

MONKSGRANGE

Candle Island and  Clearly Capableare both fun types placed again at winners’ level.

MONKSGRANGE

Master Jake was second twice and won here and is a consistent sort who will always run his race and will pay his way.  Regal Maskcan win a maiden later this season having been placed here.

DURROW

Ross Na Righis an ideal schoolmaster who has been lady and novice ridden and won here having been second twice already this season. He still has a lot to offer and is perfect schoolmaster material.

DROMAHANE

Myselfandjoe has now won two of his five starts and looks a fine type. First Crusaderback in fourth ran well and is looking a likely winner’s race victor before long.

Mares

MONKSGRANGE

Tara Wellset a strong gallop here and came home clear of her rivals. She is a tough staying mare with a track future.

DURROW

Worthcominghomeforhad been second twice before winning here so looks a consistent and game mare.

LOUGHBRICKLAND

Loughbricklandroseis a nicely bred mare and a half-sister to a black type performer. She had come home well at Kirkistown and stepped up here putting this race beyond doubt from two out.

LOUGHBRICKLAND

Remember The Pasthas won twice around here and furthermore has been placed in a bumper so she is more than ready to go to the track and open her account there now.

DURROW (SATURDAY)

En Passehas the makings of a high class mare. Very well bred being by Flemensfirth and out of a black type winning mare, she is also a half-sister to a black type performer.

DROMAHANE

Katie Van Hallis out of a winning mare and won on debut so must be an above average type with a track career ahead.
