Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale graduate Death Duty maintained his unbeaten sequence over fences and capped what was a momentous day for County Meath trainer Gordon Elliott by winning the Grade 1 Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse, completing a hat-trick of Grade 1 wins on the day for Cullentra House Stables and leading owners Gigginstown House Stud.

On Saturday at Newbury, Tattersalls Ireland November NH Sale graduate Total Recall ended the Irish drought with a thrilling win in the Grade 3 Ladbrokes Trophy Chase. The Willie Mullins trained gelding became the first Irish winner of the contest, formerly known at the Hennessy Gold Cup.
