Top Class Field Goes To Post For The €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes
A top class and full field of thirty runners goes to post for the lucrative €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes at The Curragh on Sunday as part of Longines Irish Champions Weekend.
The field is dominated by UK runners making up 23 of the 30 horses going to post and is headed by Ger Lyons and Sean Jones Group 2 Railway Stakes winner MEDICINE JACK and Richard Hannon and Chelsea Thoroughbred’s Group 2 Superlative Stakes third MR SCARAMANGA. Other runners to note in the race include Karl Burke’s unbeaten Parnassian and Brian Ellison’s three time winner Orewa while Richard Fahey sends Listed winner VONA to compete for the valuable pot.
The €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes takes place at 5.25pm on Sunday 11th September with the first race at the Curragh at 2.00pm.
The Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale takes place on Tuesday 20th September and Wednesday 21st September with Part II of the sale taking place on Thursday 22nd September and Friday 23rd September. The sale is now regarded as Europe’s Most Progressive Yearling Sale with three Classic Winners coming from the sale; Galileo Gold, Hawksmoor and Conselice.
