Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale Listed double at the weekend

Tattersalls
Ireland September Yearling Sale graduates enjoyed a Listed double at the
weekend, with EL ASTRONAUTE winning the Prix de Bonneval in France, and MEDICINE
JACK securing victory in the Waterford Testimonial Stakes at Navan.

Trained
by John Quinn, EL ASTRONAUTE made all the running and held on strongly to win
by a length and a half. The five-year-old was sold by Owenstown Stud for
€19,000 to JC Bloodstock.

In
the colours of Sean Jones and under Colin Keane, MEDICINE JACK (pictured below)
made for a thrilling finish at Navan yesterday winning the Waterford
Testimonial Stakes for trainer Ger Lyons. MEDICINE JACK was purchased by Ger
Lyons for €28,000 from Castletown Stud.
