TATTERSALLS IRELAND GRADUATES ON FORM WITH GRADE 2 HAT-TRICK
THE NEW ONE was sold both as a foal and a yearling at the November National Hunt Sale before being sold as a three-year-old at the 2011 Derby Sale by Cleaboy Stud and Coppice Farm to Highflyer Bloodstock for €25,000.
Former Champion Hurdle winner ROCK ON RUBY returned to the racecourse where he celebrated his most famous success to win the Grade 2 Relkeel Hurdle. Continuously pulling away from his rivals on the run in, the son of Oscar never appeared to be under pressure and won the race by a comfortable two lengths.
ROCK ON RUBY was sold as a foal at the 2005 November National Hunt Sale by Ballyclerihan House Stud on behalf of his breeder John O’Dwyer for €23,000 to Whitehorse Stud.
At Navan, the high-class renewal of the Grade 2 Novice Hurdle was won by the Gigginstown House Stud owned NO MORE HEROS who, after his impressive performance, was made favourite for the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
NO MORE HEROS was sold through Tattersalls Ireland on three occasions. Firstly as a foal at the 2009 November National Hunt Sale when sold to Alan Ahern for €47,000 by his breeder Peter Downes. He was then sold as a yearling at the 2010 November National Hunt Sale by Ballincurrig House Stud for €48,000 to Richard Haggas. As a three-year-old, the son of Presenting was sold to his now trainer, Gordon Elliott for €57,000 by Goldford Stud.
