Tattersalls Ireland announce sponsorship package for 2021 Spring point-to-point fixtures
Tattersalls Ireland, Ireland’s leading sponsor of Irish point-to-points, are delighted to announce a sponsorship package for every single point-to-point meeting which takes place in the Spring of 2021. After sponsoring all 37 fixtures in the Autumn schedule, contributing almost €20,000 in total, Tattersalls Ireland feel given the importance of the sector and the prospect of all fixtures running behind closed doors that it is essential to extend our support into Spring 2021.
The Tattersalls Group is committed to supporting the National Hunt sector in Ireland and this sponsorship, together with Tattersalls sponsorship of point-to-points in the UK demonstrates our commitment to the Hunt Committees, Handlers, Owners, Riders and all involved in the industry. The Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale is set to take place at the world renowned Tattersalls headquarters of Park Paddocks in Newmarket on Friday 19th February and we look forward to welcoming our NH clients back to Fairyhouse for the rescheduled Febuary sale on 23 and 24 February.
Derby Sale graduates lead home more 4yo maidens than any other store sale during the enhanced Autumn schedule with thirteen 4yo winners in total. Gentlemansgame, the €62,000 graduate of Liss House, looked an exciting prospect when winning at Curraghmore for Donnchadh Doyle before being sold at the Tattersalls Cheltenham Sale at Fairyhouse for €250,000. He has since made a twenty one length winning debut at Cork for Robcour and Mouse Morris.
The sponsorship will commence this weekend with two meetings scheduled to take place at Tinahely and Aghabullogue on Sunday 10 January.
Commenting on the enhanced sponsorship, Tattersalls Ireland CEO, Simon Kerins said;
“Following on from the success of extending our sponsorship last year, we are thrilled to be offering a sponsorship package of €250 to each of the 78 Spring point-to-point fixtures in Ireland this year. The last year has been challenging for everyone involved within the industry but the support shown to us by our loyal vendors and purchasers has been heartening and we hope by supporting the point-to-point industry as a whole that it shows our commitment and thanks to all those involved. Our investment in the point-to-point sector together with the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper and sponsorship at the Dublin Racing Festival is a positive step in the support of not only the sport, but the owners, trainers and jockeys involved. We are looking forward to an action-packed season ahead and seeing our 2020 graduates start their careers.”
