Super Saturday for September Yearling Sale with Group 3 Double

It was a super Saturday for the September Yearling Sale with graduates landing a Group 3 double at flat racing’s headquarters in both Ireland and the UK.

At The Curragh, Amo Racing and Omnihorse Racing’s GO BEARS GO recorded his third Group success winning the Group 3 Rathasker Stud Phoenix Sprint Stakes under Rossa Ryan for Dave Loughnane. 

The son of Kodi Bear was sold at the 2020 September Yearling Sale from Al Elie Stud for £50,000 to Aguiar Bloodstock who subsequently sold him at the 2021 Craven Breeze Up for 150,000gns to Alex Elliott and Amo Racing. 

At Newmarket, Charlie and Mark Johnston’s LAKOTA SIOUX headed a 1 – 2 for the September Yearling Sale when winning the Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes for James Doyle and owners Gallop Racing ahead of Ralph Beckett’s Dandy Alys. 

LAKOTA SIOUX, a third in the recent Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot, was sold at the 2021 September Yearling Sale by Stone Farm for £15,000 to Johnston Racing. 

The Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale takes place in Ireland on 20th and 21st September followed by Part II of the Sale on 22nd September.
