SEPTEMBER YEARLING SALE GRADUATES PRODUCE LISTED DOUBLE
WAADY won the Listed Scurry Stakes in impressive style, winning the contest by 2 lengths and giving the son of Approve his third success this season and a career highlight to date. The John Gosden trained colt, owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum, was sold at the 2013 September Yearling Sale by his breeder Knocklong House Stud for €37,000 to JC Bloodstock.
TOP NOTCH TONTO returned to winning form and showed a speedy turn of foot to take the Listed Ganton Stakes for trainer Brian Ellison and owner Keith Brown. The son of Thousand Words, bred by Seamus Finucane, was purchased at the 2011 September Yearling Sale by IW McInnes for €3,000 from Rathasker Stud and has now won over €500,000 in prize money.
