RICH WEEKEND FOR TATTERSALLS IRELAND GRADUATES HIGHLIGHTED BY GRADE 1 VICTORY

ROAD TO RICHES was sold at the 2008 February NH Sale by his breeders’ Sunnyhill Stud for €8,000 to Captain Simon Walford.

Derby Sale graduate COLE HARDEN saw off some stiff competition to win the Grade 2 West Yorkshire Hurdle at Wetherby. The five-year-old, who was second in the most recent renewal of the Sefton Novices’ Hurdle at the Aintree Festival, won the Grade 2 event by a margin of eight-lengths. COLE HARDEN was sold at the 2012 Derby Sale by Ballyhampshire Stud on behalf of his breeder, Mrs Josephine O’Callaghan for €13,000 to Grove Stud.

The highly talented MENORAH kicked off his 2014/15 campaign with a blitzing win in the Grade 2 Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby. MENORAH, a multiple Grade 1 winner, was sold at the 2005 November NH Sale by Lismortagh Stud for €48,000 to Kennycourt Stud.

WHAT A WARRIOR enjoyed Grade 3 success when landing the Grade 3 Gold Cup Handicap Chase at Ascot for brothers Dan and Harry Skelton. WHAT A WARRIOR was sold at the 2010 Derby Sale by Cloughultagh Stud for €17,000 to Highflyer Bloodstock. Prior to this, the son of Westerner was sold as a yearling at the 2008 November NH Sale by Rathbritt Stud to John Banville for €15,000.

Also celebrating Grade 3 success this weekend was PERFECT GENTLEMAN who won the Grade 3 EBF Novice Chase at Cork. PERFECT GENTLEMAN was sold at the 2005 November NH Sale by breeder David Hyland’s Oghill House Stud for €24,000 to Hill Stud.

Tattersalls Ireland graduates also had wins in Listed races in Ireland and the UK with Derby Sale graduate SIGN OF A VICTORY winning the Listed Handicap Hurdle at Ascot and November NH Sale graduate MANY CLOUDS winning the Listed Colin Parker Memorial Intermediate Chase at Carlisle.

SIGN OF A VICTORY was sold at the 2012 Derby Sale by Mount Eaton Stud for €42,000 to Willie Browne.  MANY CLOUDS was sold at the 2007 November NH Sale by Windward House Stud for €6,000 to Highflyer Bloodstock.
