QUALITY LOTS AVAILABLE AT THE DERBY SALE’S HORSES IN TRAINING SECTION
From 1975 to 1992, the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale incorporated a Horses in Training section and this year’s reintroduction certainly lives up to the calibre of years gone by. Past sales have seen Granville Again, Sunny Bay, and Elegant Lord and more recently Grade 1 winners Benefficient and Flemenstar go through the ring as Horses in Training at Tattersalls Ireland.
Lots catalogued for the Horses in Training section are as follows:
Lot 90 A: Amergin 5yo g by With Approval – Pat Or Else (Alzao)
An improving sort who won his 5yo Maiden at Lisronagh. He has close form lines to Azorian and Turnandgo. He looks like a bumper winner waiting to happen.
Lot 90 B: Creative Boru 5yo g by Brian Boru – Ruths Rhapsody (Creative Plan)
A snug 5yo winner at Necarne after an eye-catching run at Largy. A half brother to Loughanalteen and from the family of Killultagh Storm.
Lot 90 C: Magheral Express 4yo g by Gold Well – Patzanni (Arzanni)
Impressive 4yo Maiden winner at Tattersalls on 25th of May. An imposing individual by a very exciting young sire.
Lot 90 D: Cloud Brook 5yo g by Cloudings – Stonebrook
A very impressive eight lengths winner of his only start in a Durrow maiden. The form looks solid with the third horse winning since. A lovely chasing prospect.
Lot 90 E: Onenightinvienna 4yo g by Oscar – Be My Granny (Needle Gun)
Stepped up on his fourth place at Inch to win in a fast time at Inchydoney. By leading sire Oscar, this fellow has the physique to be a smart chaser.
Lot 90 F: Shake It Up 4yo g by Presenting – Miss Fresher (Pampabird)
A debut 4yo maiden winner, this good looking son of Presenting overcame greenness and showed a very likeable attitude to score. A full brother to Goonyella.
Lot 90 G: If Not For You 5yo g by Celtic Swing – Ker Lani (Ashkalani)
A superb model of a horse who won a 5yo Maiden at Tattersalls on 25th of May. He looks to have all the ingredients to make a high class track horse.
Lot 90 H: Great Choice 4yo g by Westerner – Granuale (Seamanship)
Following in Briar Hill’s footsteps this fellow won the 4yo maiden at Necarne with a little bit up his sleeve and is clearly progressive. His dam won four races under both codes.
Lot 90 J: Stephanie Frances 5yo m by King’s Theatre – Brownlow Castle (Supreme Leader)
This mare literally could be anything, she showed a touch of class to win a bumper on her debut at Punchestown. By King’s Theatre, a sire renowned for producing top class fillies.
Lot 90 K: Minella Present 4yo g by Presenting – Dabaya (In The Wings)
A son of Presenting and a half brother to Cheltenham winner Dabiroun, he was a very eye catching third on his only run in a winner’s bumper.
Lot 90 L: Storm Of Swords 5yo g by Beneficial – Crossbar Lady (Flemensfirth)
This son of champion National Hunt sire Beneficial won a Fairyhouse bumper on his only start, drawing well clear in the style of a very decent prospect.
