NEW BLOODSTOCK TEAM APPOINTMENT AT TATTERSALLS IRELAND

Tattersalls Ireland Managing Director, Roger Casey, said: ‘This appointment reflects our determination to build on four consecutive years of growth at Tattersalls Ireland. Timmy will complement and strengthen our Bloodstock inspections team, has a strong background in the industry and is an important addition to our existing team. Timmy has long – standing family links with Tattersalls Ireland, his grandfather being the original owner of the old Fairyhouse Stud which is now the site of the Tattersalls Ireland Sales Complex.  He is the son of Michael Hillman who worked for Tattersalls Ireland for many years including 20 years as a Director of the Company.  Timmy also runs the family farm, Castledillon Stud, and is an important consignor of both Flat and National Hunt horses’.

Timmy Hillman said: ‘I am thrilled to be joining the Tattersalls Ireland team and look forward to visiting many Tattersalls Ireland vendors, both Flat and National Hunt.  Tattersalls Ireland had an excellent year in 2013, particularly with their flagship Derby and September Yearling Sales. I believe this is an exciting time to be joining the Company and I am particularly looking forward to starting inspections of the Derby Sale horses in the next few weeks.’
