Layfayette lands Group 2 Mooresbridge Stakes

Layfayette put in another stellar performance to land the Group 2 Mooresbridge Stakes at The Curragh yesterday. The Noel Meade trained son of French Navy made it a third stakes win on the bounce this season after winning the Group 3 Alleged Stakes three weeks ago.

Layfayette was sold at the Tattersalls Ireland Goresbridge Breeze Up Sale by San Antone Lodge for €54,000 to the trainer in 2019. He was also sold at the September Yearling Sale by Olive O’Connor Bloodstock for €4,000 to Emmanuel Hughes in 2018.

The Tattersalls Ireland Goresbridge Breeze Up Sale will take place on 18 – 19 May featuring 215 exciting breeze up two-year-olds. The two-year-olds will breeze at Fairyhouse Racecourse on Wednesday 18 May at 10:00am with the sale starting on Thursday 19 May at 10:30am.
