Initial Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale Wildcards Revealed

The initial wildcards for the Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale has seen 17 additional entries made to the catalogue. The sale takes place on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd May, and is scheduled to take place on the eve of the Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival at The Curragh. The horses will breeze at Fairyhouse Racecourse on Thursday 22nd May, beginning at 8:30am, with the sale commencing at 10am on Friday 23rd May.

A daughter of SIOUX NATION was the top priced two-year-old at the 2024 Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale, and an exciting son of that sire has been added to the catalogue. Consigned by Charlie and Francesca Poste’s Station Yard, he is a half-brother to six winners.

Greenhills Farm have made three additional entries, among them, a filly by HAVANA GREY, who is out of a half-sister to the listed winner ROSA GRACE. Also among the trio are a son of NO NAY NEVER whose dam is out of the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile third THEYSKEN’S THEORY, and a daughter of NO NAY NEVER who is related to a couple of smart juvenile performers.

Knockanglass Stables have added a son of AMERICAN PHAROAH whose dam is a half-sister to a Grade 3 winner in the United States, and a SHOWCASING colt who is closely related to the Listed Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy winner VENTURA MIST.

G.S.Bloodstock will offer a son of TEN SOVEREIGNS, out of dual listed winner ANNE OF KIEV and a sibling to the two-time Australian graded winner YONKERS.

Lacka House Stables consigned the Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes winner COTO DE CAZA at last year’s Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale, and their draft will include a son of KODI BEAR who is closely related to the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner HOOTENANNY.

Grangeclare are a growing presence on the Breeze Up circuit, and have added a son of COTAI GLORY, from the family of Group 1 winners LISTEN and SEQUOYAH, and whose half-brother was a winner in Doha earlier this year.

Also among the additional entries is a son of NIGHT OF THUNDER offered by Rockfield Farm. He is out of listed winner MALEFICIENT QUEEN and a half-brother to a couple of two-time winners.
