Honeysuckle headlines winning weekend for Tattersalls Ireland Graduates
It was a busy weekend of black type success for Tattersalls Ireland graduates, headlined by Honeysuckle's second victory in the Grade 1 Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse.
The Henry De Bromhead trained Honeysuckle toughed it out to win, stretching her unbeaten record to nine, including five Grade 1 wins. With the Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown the next target, the daughter of Sulamani was consigned by The Glanville Stables at the Derby Sale and sold to Mark O'Hare.
Galop Marin claimed victory in the €245,000 Grand Prix d'Automne (Grade 1) for the third time in Auteuil. Trained by Dominique Bressou for the Papot family, Galop Marin is approaching 1.3 million euros in earnings and now counts 13 victories over jumps. Sold by Crossogue Stud for €13,000 to FIPS as a foal. Galop Marin's Grade 1 win provides a timely update to Lot 685 in the November National Hunt Sale, who is a Walk In The Park brother offered by Busherstown.
Next Destination stayed on well to make a winning debut over fences in the Grade 2 John Francome Novices' Chase at Newbury under Harry Cobden for Paul Nicholls and Malcolm Denmark. Sourced as a foal at the November National Hunt Sale by Castleby Farm from Five Naughts Stud for €9,500.
Pink Sheets notched four wins in a row and made all to land Listed honours at Newbury on Saturday under Jack Quinlan for trainer Mick Quinn. The improving mare was sold at the August National Hunt Sale by Long House Stables to Adam Potts and Conor Magner.
Yorkhill caused a stir at Newcastle with an incredible success in the Listed Rehearsal Chase for trainer Sandy Thomson and owners Dave Armstrong and Lee Westwood. The multiple Grade 1 winner was sold as a foal for €41,000 by Parkview Farm to Ian Ferguson.
Congratulations to all winning connections.
