Hat trick of Graded victories for Tattersalls Ireland this weekend
It was another successful weekend on the track for Tattersalls Ireland with a hat trick of Graded victories delivered by graduates.
Derby Sale graduated RATHVINDEN claimed the Grade 3 Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse producing a run full of compliments which holds in good stead ahead of the Grand National. Owned by RA Bartlett and trained by Willie Mullins, RATHVINDEN was sold at the 2013 Derby Sale by Mount Davys Stables to Harold Kirk and Willie Mullins for €100,000. RATHVINDEN was also sold as a foal at the 2008 November NH Sale by Burgage Stud to Barron View Stud for €1,700.
At Kempton, BAGS GROOVE won the Grade 2 Pendil Novices' Chase for trainer Harry Fry and owner Michael Pescod. By Oscar, BAGS GROOVE was sold as a foal at the November NH Sale by Ashgrove Stud to Peel Bloodstock for €17,000.
Landing his biggest pay day so far, the Neil Mulholland trained WALT won the Grade 3 Handicap Chase at Kempton for owner Phil Simmonds. WALT, by the late King's Theatre, was sold at the 2014 Derby Sale by Norrismount Stud to Highflyer Bloodstock for €58,000.
