GREAT START TO 2015 FOR TATTERSALLS IRELAND WITH TWO GRADE 1 WINS

On Saturday, L’AMI SERGE lived up to expectations when cruising to victory in the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown, winning the contest by an impressive 14 lengths. This is the third win in a row for the son of King’s Theatre since joining trainer Nicky Henderson and is now listed as joint favourite for the Supreme Novices’ at Cheltenham in March.

The Simon Munir and Isaac Souede owned L’AMI SERGE was sold as a foal at the 2010 November National Hunt Sale by Cleaboy Stud and Coppice Farm for €23,000 to French Bloodstock Agents Agence FIPS.

On Sunday, Naas Racecourse staged its first ever Grade 1, the Lawlor’s Hotel Novice Hurdle and Tattersalls Ireland graduate MCKINLEY caused an upset by landing the race as the outsider at 33/1. Willie Mullins’ son of Kheleyf became the first National Hunt Black Type winner for the sire.

MCKINLEY, owned by Gigginstown House Stud, was sold at the 2011 September Yearling Sale by The Castlebridge Consignment for €15,500 to Sunnyhill Stud.
