GRADE 1 DOUBLE FOR DERBY SALE GRADUATES
EXCITING DERBY SALE GRADUATE NO MORE HEROES LANDS GRADE 1 NOVICE CHASE
NO MORE HEROES displayed a hoof perfect round of jumping to secure the Grade 1 Novice Chase with ease at Leopardstown this afternoon. It was a 1-2-3 in the contest for Tattersalls Ireland with 2010 Derby Sale graduate Rule The World finishing second and August National Hunt Monksland finishing in third.
Gigginstown House Stud’s NO MORE HEROES was sold on three occasions at Tattersalls Ireland. Firstly, as a foal at the 2009 November National Hunt Sale by Russellstown Stud for €47,000 to Alan Ahern and then as a yearling at the 2010 November National Hunt Sale by Ballincurrig House Stud for €48,000 to Richard Haggas. He was then sold as a three-year-old by Goldford Stud at the 2012 Derby Sale to his trainer Gordon Elliott for €57,000.
GRADE 1 CHALLOW NOVICES’ HURDLE WIN FOR UNBEATEN DERBY SALE GRADUATE BARTER’S HILL
BARTER’S HILL maintained his unbeaten record when capturing his first Grade 1 of his career to date by running out the impressive winner of the Grade 1 Challow Novices’ Hurdle at Newbury and giving trainer Ben Pauling his first win at this level.
Now a six-time unbeaten winner, BARTER’S HILL was sold at the 2013 Derby Sale by Rahinston Farm & Stud for €16,000 to Highflyer Bloodstock and his trainer, Ben Pauling.
