EMPHATIC SUPPORT OF BIDPOINT AT FIRST ENTRY STAGE
With the exception of those owners who only use Point to Points as a nursery for the racetrack and whose horses are generally accepted as not for sale, 100% of all 4yo geldings running this weekend have been made eligible for BIDPOINT and in addition, almost 50% of all point to point entries across five fixtures have been nominated to BIDPOINT this weekend. Connections can also continue to nominate horses to BIDPOINT by contacting p2p.ie. Prospective purchasers will have an opportunity to bid for their chosen horse up to 2pm on Tuesday 3rd March, bidders can retain their anonymity until their bid has been accepted and in the event of a transaction being completed the Hunt Committees will receive 1% of the Sale. Prospective purchasers can see all lots available for purchase atTattersalls Ireland BIDPOINT.
Tattersalls Ireland Managing Director Roger Casey said:
“Whilst this initiative has been well received right across the industry the level of support at this first entry stage has been considerable with such a large percentage of handlers ticking the box to show their support of this concept at the first opportunity available. We genuinely feel that BIDPOINT can be a revolutionary initiative and is an ideal shop window for handlers to promote their horses to the entire market. Handlers and connections have given this initiative their seal of approval by ticking the box so over the coming weeks and months we at Tattersalls Ireland will be working hard to ensure that purchasers support what is a new and exciting opportunity for them also.”
