Dream Start to the 2016 Flat Season for Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale

Trainer Darren Bunyan kick started his season by producing the highly impressive winner of the Two-Year-Old Maiden in Mister Trader. The son of Hellvelyn caught the eye in the paddock before the race and showed an impressive turn of foot in beating off what was considered some well-regarded rivals. Bunyan bought Mister Trader at the most recent September Yearling Sale for €15,000 from Torard House Stud.

Later in the day, it was a 1-2 for the September Yearling Sale in the feature race, the Irish Lincolnshire. SRUTHAN ran out the impressive winner ahead of his stable mate and fellow September Yearling Sale graduate Aussie Valentine. SRUTHAN, a previous Group 3 and Listed winner has now amassed over €220,000 in prize money, Deegan purchased him from Oghill House Stud at the 2011 September Yearling Sale.
