Champers Elysees impresses at Galway Festival on Listed debut
Champers Elysees proved far too good for her rivals as she ran away with the Listed Colm Quinn BMW Irish EBF Corrib Fillies Stakes at Galway for trainer Johnny Murtagh and owner Fitzwilliam Racing. The daughter of Elzaam won a Curragh handicap on her seasonal debut in June, but she made an effortless transition to Listed level in this seven-furlong heat.
The filly was sold by Mantlehill Stud at the 2017 Tattersalls Ireland November Flat Breeding Stock Sale for €12,500, before being sold by Aughamore Stud to her trainer for €28,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale the following year.
