BLOODSTOCK INDUSTRY EXPERTS CONFIRMED FOR THE 2015 TATTERSALLS IRELAND NOVEMBER NATIONAL HUNT YEARLING SHOW
The National Hunt Yearling Show will again have an outstanding prize fund of €12,000.
Paul Thorman has, with his wife Sara, run Trickledown Stud for 26 years, now selling over 200 horses a year. Selling mainly flat but also approximately a third of their horses sold are national hunt. On the flat successive 2,000 guineas winners George Washington and Cockney Rebel head multiple Group 1 winners. National Hunt horse sale numbers have increased in recent years and current graduates include Valdez, Tea For Two, Wait For Me and Royal Regatta. Trickledown Stud has been a leading vendor at a number of major sales in recent years.
David Loder is a former successful trainer, who reached the very peak of his profession in an extremely short period of time and was responsible for identifying and choosing Dubai Millennium as a two year old. He also trained Classic winning miler Desert Prince and was particularly renowned for training top class juveniles. He has purchased at both National Hunt and all the major Flat Sales in recent years.
Bobby O’Ryan is a prolific buyer at all levels of bloodstock and is a regular at all UK and Irish bloodstock sales. He is highly regarded as a one of the best judges of a horse and has a close association with Dermot Weld, numerous trainers in the UK, and more recently Joseph O’Brien. He is married to Sheila who is the administrative chief of their bloodstock operation. He has consistently been a leading purchaser with Tattersalls Ireland every year.
Hubert Barbe has been a bloodstock agent since 1994 and was a forerunner in the development of the market for French NH Horses in Great Britain and Ireland. He is responsible for finding many high class jumping horses in France including twelve Cheltenham winners; Hors La Loi III, Blowing Wind, Valiramix and Lady Cricket to name a few.
