At the conclusion of the Tattersalls Ireland February National Hunt Sale, Managing Director George Mernagh said:

We have been encouraged by the demand for the quality correct individuals which have in many ways mirrored the results from our November National Hunt Sale. However it has become even more apparent that purchasers have become ever more discerning on conformation, movement and on pedigree but are willing to purchase even in these uncertain times, for correct individuals and going forward this is where we all should be focused. We breed and race the best National Hunt horses and we are selling to mainly a domestic market, but on today's trade I think it is reasonable to say that we can be upbeat and positive"
