2016 SALES DATES ANNOUNCED FOR TATTERSALLS IRELAND

The flagship Derby Sale will continue to incorporate the successful Part II, which in its first instalment boasted an average of €15,669 and a median of €14,000. The Derby Sale itself continues to break records, this year producing the highest price paid for a store of €320,000, an average of €42,847 and a median of €36,000. All lots catalogued in the 2016 Derby and August NH Sales (excluding HIT lots) will be eligible for the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper 2017.

Trade at the recent September Yearling Sale and Part II was possibly the best witnessed for a Flat Sale held by Tattersalls Ireland. An incredible clearance rate of 93%, best on record since 2000, complimented by an increasing average, median and turnover and 14 countries represented, produced the second-best set of results ever. All lots catalogued in the 2016 September Yearling Sale and Part II will be eligible for the 2017 €250,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes on Irish Champions Weekend.

The December Mixed Sale, which was originally scheduled for December 2015, has been removed from the 2015 diary and remains absent from the calendar for 2016.
