10 OUT OF 10 FOR TATTERSALLS IRELAND GRADUATE FAUGHEEN

Following on from a brilliant success at Cheltenham, the seven year old remains triumphant in all his starts and continues on the road to becoming one of the all-time great champion hurdlers. Turning for home it was FAUGHEEN who maintained his lead, pulling clear of the field for an impressive eight length win. 

FAUGHEEN was sold as a foal at the 2008 November National Hunt Sale for €4,000 by Coolnahay Stud on behalf of his breeder Dr John Waldron to Peter Quinlan.

Later in the day NICHOLS CANYON took the Tattersalls Ireland sponsored Champion Novice Hurdle Grade 1 race, following on from his recent success at Aintree. NICHOLS CANYON trained by Willie Mullins was sold at Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 2, in 2011 for 48,000 gns.
