Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale Wildcards Are Revealed

29 additional lots have been added to the Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale which
takes place next week on Thursday 23^rd and Friday 24^th May. The sale is Ireland’s
only Breeze Up Sale and takes place on the eve of the Tattersalls Irish Guineas
Festival at The Curragh. The horses are set to breeze at Fairyhouse Racecourse on
Thursday, May 23^rd,  starting
at 8:30am, with the sale starting on Friday, May 24^th at
10:00am. The breeze session will be televised live on Racing TV with coverage
commencing shortly before 8:30am.

The
wildcard selection adds to an already strong sire profile with stallions such
as BLUE POINT, SERGEI PROKOFIEV, MEHMAS, PINATUBO and OASIS DREAM all
represented among the additional 29 lots that have been added. Almost all of
the wildcards are attending their first Breeze Up Sale of the year.

Among
the wildcard entries are siblings to some high class performers including a
MEHMAS (Lot 263) half-brother to Group 2 winner FOX CHAMPION, an OASIS DREAM
(Lot 269) half-brother to Group 2 Superlative Stakes placed MAXI BOY, and an
HELLO YOUMZAIN (Lot 253) half-brother to four winners including two listed winners who is also qualified for owners’ premiums in France.

The
progeny of black type race mares are a main feature of the wildcards. Those
included are a TWIRLING CANDY (Lot 275) colt out of Grade 1 winner ROSALIND,
who is a half-brother to listed placed CHANCEUX. A PINATUBO (Lot 257) colt out
of Listed winner AQLAAM VISION is also catalogued, while a Blue Point (Lot 271)
colt out of black type mare NYARHINI, who’s half-brother TOKEN OF LOVE is the
dam of Group 1 performer MIGHTY ULYSSES is among those added to the catalogue.
BLUE POINT is also the sire of a filly out of black type mare DUBAI FASHION
(Lot 261), while a GAME WINNER (Lot 262) colt out of three-time Canadian and US
Grade 3 winner EMBUR’S SONG is also being offered. A colt by PINATUBO out
of Group 3 Albany Stakes third ILLAUNGLASS (Lot 266) is an additional entry.
