Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale Catalogue Now Online

The catalogue for the Tattersalls
Ireland Breeze Up Sale, which will take place on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th
May, can be viewed online at www.tattersalls.ie and copies will be available
from Tattersalls Ireland and Tattersalls Ireland representatives from Monday
15th April.

The sale is Ireland’s only Breeze
Up Sale and takes place on the eve of the Tattersalls Guineas Festival at The
Curragh, with horses breezing at Fairyhouse Racecourse on Thursday, May 23rd,
starting at 8:30am, with the sale starting on Friday, May 24th at 10:00am.

252 juveniles are catalogued for the
Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale which in 2023 produced stakes winners, among
themg Group 3 Anglesey Stakes winner Kairyu, and Listed winners Ballymount Boy
and Fun With Flags. The unbeaten filly Purple Lily is also a graduate of the
2023 edition, and she holds classic entries in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket
and the Curragh, while also holding an engagement in the Epsom Oaks.

Graduates have been making their mark
in the Far East, among them our 2021 graduates Happy Together and Taj Dragon.
Happy Together has scaled the grades and won five times at Sha Tin, while Taj
Dragon landed the valuable Chinese Challenge Cup earlier this year.

The catalogue features siblings to some
high-class performers, including the NO NAY NEVER half-brother to four-time
stakes winner MINCE (Lot 248). A MEHMAS (Lot 176) half-brother to Australian
Group 3 winner JAAMEH also features, while a MAGNA GRECIA (Lot 23) half-brother
to Group 3 Killavullan Stakes winner Coral Beach is included. Other entries
with smart siblings include a STARSPANGLEDBANNER (Lot 14) half-sister to the
dual Wokingham winner and Group 1 placed Rohaan, and a PERSIAN KING (Lot 3)
half-brother to the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat winner Territories.

A WOOTTON BASSETT (Lot 78) half-brother
to Listed and Group 3 winner CAIRO is sure to attract interest. His dam CUFF
was a precocious juvenile and posted a maiden and Listed win during the early
part of her juvenile season. She was an own sister to the Group 2 Superlative
Stakes winner GUSTAV KLIMT.

In addition, the catalogue includes
two-year-olds out of black type mares, including the NO NAY NEVER (Lot 193)
colt out of Listed winner Nidhaal. A NO NAY NEVER (Lot 240) two-year-old out of
American Group 1 winner SOPHIE P is catalogued, while German Group 3 winner
CALYXA is represented by a juvenile sired by TOO DARN HOT (Lot 56). A VINO
ROSSO (Lot 89) colt out of an American Grade 3 winner is catalogued, while NO NAY NEVER (Lot 94) is also represented by a filly
out of the Listed winner EASTER, the dam herself being a sister to the
Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Peaceful.

The progeny of well-related dams
feature heavily through the catalogue. A KINGMAN (Lot 40) filly out of an own
sister to dual Stakes winner PRETTY PERFECT will be offered, while a BLUE POINT
filly (Lot 12) out of a sister to three-time stakes winner and Irish Oaks
runner-up VENUS DE MILO is catalogued. A BLUE POINT (Lot 237) colt out of an
own sister to Breeders’ Cup Classic winner RAVEN’S PASS is catalogued, while an
EARTHLIGHT (Lot 62) filly out of a sister to the dual Group 1 winner KINROSS
will be offered.

The catalogue boasts a strong sire
profile with entries from stallions including HAVANA GREY, BLUE POINT, DARK
ANGEL, CARAVAGGIO, MEHMAS, KINGMAN,
NIGHT OF THUNDER, SEA THE STARS, WOOTTON BASSETT, STARSPANGLEDBANNER, TOO DARN
HOT, INVINCIBLE ARMY, GHAIYYATH, CALYX, RIBCHESTER, OASIS DREAM, SERGEI PROKOFIEV, SIOUX
NATION, NO NAY NEVER, BERNADINI,
AMERICAN PHAROAH and ARIZONA.
