ANOTHER GRADE 1 SUCCESS FOR THE DERBY SALE

Gigginstown House Stud’s five-year-old, who is under the charge of trainer Gordon Elliott, is now on target for the World Hurdle in March.

PRINCE OF SCARS, twice a graduate of Tattersalls Ireland, was initially sold at the 2010 November National Hunt Sale by Fortbarrington Stud and sold to Swanbridge Bloodstock for €37,000. He was then reoffered as a three-year-old at the 2013 Derby Sale by Goldford Stud on behalf of Swanbridge Bloodstock and sold to Conor O’Dwyer for €175,000.

FLEMENSTAR BACK TO HIS BEST WITH GRADE 1 WIN        

Yesterday at Leopardstown, FLEMENSTAR proved he is back to his very best by landing the Grade 1 Paddy Power Chase for owner Stephen Curran and his son and trainer Anthony. The son of Flemensfirth made this win his fourth Grade 1 and his eleventh career victory.

FLEMENSTAR went through the ring twice at Tattersalls Ireland; at the 2006 February National Hunt Sale he was sold by The Beeches Stud for €11,000 to Michael Tallon and at the 2006 November National Hunt Sale when sold by Michael Tallon to his owner, Stephen Curran for €40,000.
