The final day’s top-priced foal (Lot 1076) was a son of the first-crop sire Cannock Chase, winner of the Grade 1 Canadian International. The dual-purpose sire Mount Nelson has been popular with buyers all week and the trend continued with Hugh Bleahen of Clifton Stud giving €46,000 for a colt out of Eoz, the dam of five winners from seven runners, headlined by the Henry VII Novice Hurdle (G1) runner-up, Charbel. “This colt is a gorgeous individual. He is a great walker, we are lucky to see a foal like him – he is the stand out today. Mount Nelson is stamping his stock well and doing a good job,” said Bleahen, adding: “Trade has been very strong this week.” Tomorrow’s sale concluding session of NH broodmares and fillies starts at 11am.
