Son of Pour Moi tops Day 2 of the August National Hunt Sale

The son of Pour Moi (Lot 387A) topped Day 2 of the Tattersalls Ireland August National Hunt Sale, selling for €65,000 to Gearoid Costello and consigned by Greenville House Stud. The three-year-old son of the Epsom Derby winner, who missed his original date at June's Derby Sale, is a half-brother to two Grade 1 winners SHATTERED LOVE and IRISH CAVALIER.

The Fame And Glory (Lot 298) gelding who led the session earlier in the day made €46,000 and was bought by Paurick O'Connor and Robert Tyner.

Consigned by Kildallan Farm the gelding had a significant pedigree update after the catalogue was published - his five-year-old half-brother Braid Blue (Gold Well) won two bumpers in August.

Day 2 produced an average of €8,890, a median of €5,400, an aggregate of  €1,377,950 and with an improved clearance rate of 70 per cent.

Tattersalls Ireland August National Hunt Sale concludes tomorrow with a start time of 10am. All lots are eligible for the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper 2019 and the RED MILLS Irish EBF Auction Hurdle Series. Fillies are also eligible for the €5,000 Weatherbys/ITBA Fillies Bonus Scheme.
