Group 1 Prix Morny not so unfortunate for Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale graduate UNFORTUNATELY

Numerous Group 1 winners have started out their careers as yearlings at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale; Guineas winner GALILEO GOLD, Leger winner WICKLOW BRAVE, Prix Morny and Coventry winner THE WOW SIGNAL, July Cup winner LETHAL FORCE and yesterday's result of the Group 1 Prix Morny added another star to the list with Karl Burke's UNFORTUNATELY landing the highly regarded two-year-old spectacle.

UNFORTUNATELY, by the late Society Rock, has amassed over £250,000 in prize money to date. He was purchased last year at the September Yearling Sale by his trainer Karl Burke for just €24,000 from breeders Tally-Ho Stud.

The September Yearling Sale has gone from strength, not only providing winners numerically (to date 103 two-year-olds have won 140 races) but quality winners who continue to forge their reputation on the racecourse. The catalogue for the sale is online and available from the Tattersalls Ireland office. The sale takes place over three days, the first two, 19 and 20 September, is dedicated to the traditional September Yearling Sale and the third day, Thursday 21 September, will host Part II, where the individual will stand out ahead of the pedigree. All yearlings catalogued for the September Yearling Sale and Part II are eligible for the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes 2018 as part of Longines Irish Champions Weekend.
