GRADE 1 DOUBLE FOR ‘THE HILLS’ AS TATTERSALLS IRELAND GRADUATES YORKHILL AND BELLSHILL WIN GRADE 1 CONTESTS

GRADE 1 TOLWORTH HURDLE WIN FOR TATTERSALLS IRELAND'S YORKHILL

YORKHILL kicked off what was a successful weekend for the Wylie/Mullins/Walsh partnership by landing the Grade 1 Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle at Sandown on Saturday afternoon. YORKHILL, unbeaten in bumpers, was only having his second start over hurdles and jumped the obstacles with ease, winning the race by two and quarter lengths.

YORKHILL, a son of Presenting, was sold at the 2010 November National Hunt Sale by Parkview Farm for €41,000 to Ian Ferguson. 

SECOND GRADE 1 WIN FOR TATTERSALLS IRELAND GRADUATE BELLSHILL

At Naas on Sunday, BELLSHILL provided a Grade 1 double for leading owners Graham and Andrea Wylie and Champion Trainer Willie Mullins and securing his second victory in Grade 1 company by winning the Grade 1 Lawlor’s Hotel Novice Hurdle.

The son of the late King’s Theatre won the race by five lengths and will now target the Grade 1 Deloitte Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown in February.

Ian Ferguson, who purchased YORKHILL at the 2010 November National Hunt Sale also purchased BELLSHILL at the same sale from his breeder, Frank Motherway’s Yellowford Farm for €21,000.
