Derby Sale Double on Day Two of the Aintree Grand National Festival

Day two of the Aintree Grand National meeting got off to a winning start for Tattersalls Ireland graduates. Derby Sale purchase RATHER BE, who was having only his fifth start over hurdles, claimed the Grade 2 Alder Hey Children's Charity Handicap Hurdle commandingly for trainer Nicky Henderson and owners Matt and Lauren Morgan.

Form was on the side of Derby Sale graduate LALOR coming into the Grade 2 Weatherbys Champion Bumper after an impressive thirteen length win in a Bumper at Warwick last month. The son of It's Gino delivered in spades keeping on well to win the contest for trainer Richard Woollacot, Richard Johnson and owner DG Staddon.
