Derby Sale 1-2 in Grade 1 Ascot Chase

Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale graduates landed a 1-2 in the Grade 1 Ascot Chase on Saturday as WAITING PATIENTLY secured a poignant victory for trainer Ruth Jefferson, while CUE CARD lost nothing in defeat, completing his 25th start in Grade 1 company and finishing a gallant second.

WAITING PATIENTLY was sold at the 2014 Derby Sale by Mr Vincent Finn to Summer Bloodstock for €16,000. It is the first Grade 1 victory for the seven-year-old son of Flemensfirth and brings his total wins to six over fences and seventh consecutive win on the track. 

CUE CARD was purchased from Goldford Stud at the 2009 Derby Sales for €52,000 by Mr Aiden Kennedy.Tattersalls Ireland graduates continued their winning ways over the weekend with victories from FORGE MEADOW in the Grade 3 Trial Hurdle at Gowran Park; MONBEG NOTORIOUS in the Grade 2 Ten Up Novice Chase at Navan; and November NH Sale graduate DONNA'S DIAMOND in the Grade 2 Rendlesham Hurdle at Haydock.
